Roland Smoked Anchovy Fillets are wild caught and hand packed. They have a distinct flavor and are useful as a flavoring ingredient. The anchovies are cleaned and packed in barrels layered with salt and weighted. They are cured for up to 6 months and packed in soybean oil. Anchovy fillets can be used in a variety of recipes as an ingredient or added to the prepared dish before serving. Diced and sauteed with meat or vegetables, or simply on a salad, these anchovies are highly versatile. They can also be used in salads, antipastos, and added to sauces for chicken, veal, and fish. Anchovies are a key ingredient in Italian, Greek and Spanish cuisine as well as in Scandinavian dishes, salad dressings, and Caesar salad.
